I want to get a couple of these. I have a few other cages and never really liked any of them. Have two FP bodies that I use a ton and need a cage, this looks like the solution.

Ha..hits home..my wife went to high school with one of the top fx/makeup people, Walking dead, Hunger Games are 2 he did..and she knows one of Mickey Rooneys daughters..also I did a gig in LA, wasn't sure what it was when I auditioned, got the gig and ended up working with a Name you all know..so get out and meet people..But hiring a Name actor isn't difficult if you have the money and the story ..

I bought the Kingston 128 and it is not recognised by the camera at all. What firmware version did you test the card?
A black durable comfortable rubber grip would be great too as well as the wooden grip
BMMCC OG with my .58x speedbooster and OLPF/IR filter delivers sharp (but not too sharp) 1080p that I can upscale if I wanted to. In a world of 4k to 12k, people forget about solid 1080p with nearly all the range of film and super cheap media. I shot 2 days of 3:1 raw on a cheap PNY 512gb card - easy peasy. Love that little camera cube.

It is a stunning little camera. I have two and they have some of the best pictures you will ever see out of a camera. I use the Kondor Blue top handle with the SanDisk Problade SSDs to record to. The footage is so simple to work with in Resolve.

I believe any hub will work as long as it’s a data hub and not just power/charging. I have tried 2 other brands off Amazon and they have worked (UGREEN).
@@WillvonTagen I’m using my g2 on RS4 and I’m using Panasonic 14-42mm G Vario lens, compatible with zoom demand. It’s a game changer for me but it’s kinda bulky and hard to mount and I did get a tilta rosette extender to help with the mounting. Anyway thanks for tricks, very helpful
Does focus peaking still work with vintage and not electronic lenses?
Yes, It does :) Focus peaking works off of contrast generally and is a property of the sensor, not the lens. So any lens will allow for it to work 👍🏻

Yes, any gimbal will work but you likely cannon control/power via the gimbal unless it uses standard LANC and 12v power. As far as actually balancing and using with the Gimbal it is perfect for that given how small and light it is 👍🏻
I love using the V99 Pro for my Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K G2 and is Airplane Approved! Not knowing the weight of the V212, the V99 Pro is extremely manageable. I can plug 3 12v items, Camera (DTap), Monitor (USBC) and Audio Recorder (USBC) and there is a USBA port still open.
